Van Gogh Museum Editions

The only four surviving sketchbooks of Vincent van Gogh are held by the Van Gogh Museum but because of their fragility they will no longer be on public display. This has prompted the museum to commission Uitgeverij Komma to produce a limited facsimile edition of these four sketchbooks, which were in use between 1884-1890, together with three notebooks, several loose sketches and a letter.

Eminent Dutch companies and craftsmen will collaborate on the production of the facsimiles to ensure a product of the highest quality. The facsimiles, each in separate felt-lined drawers, come in a walnut presentation box which opens on all four sides at the same time. On top of the box is a special edition on the work and the period in which the sketchbooks were used. Further, a walnut frame pulls out from underneath the box for the loose sketches. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to bring the museum into your own home.
